Bacon-Wrapped King Oyster Poppers

 

Ingredients

Fresh Caputo & Guest King Oyster Mushrooms, cut in half lengthwise

Thin-cut bacon

Jalapeno pepper, stemmed & seeded, cut in half lengthwise

1/2

Garlic and chive cream cheese, whipped, optional

 

 

 

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven or air fryer to 375 degrees. Cut each seeded jalapeno half into 5 strips
  2.           Place one strip of jalapeno over each half of mushroom. Starting at one end, wrap one slice of bacon around each jalapeno topped mushroom, starting on the flat side of the mushroom.
  3. Place wrapped mushrooms flat side down on a medium baking sheet. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Transfer to a cutting board and slice into bite size pieces.
  5. Skewer 3-4 pieces onto a wooden skewer or individually onto decorative picks. Serve with whipped garlic and chive cream cheese for dipping if desired.
